BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences was founded in 2012 by Sri Sri Ramanandanatha Swamigalu. 

The college is run by the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust. 

Dr. M. E. Mohan is the principal.

Approval and affiliation

BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences being one of the top MBBS colleges in Bangalore, is approved by the Government of Karnataka, recognized by the Medical Council of India, and affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

The following are the admission criteria for the MBBS program at BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences:

• Passed the 12th grade (or equivalent) with 50% aggregate grades in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English at a recognized university.

• The candidate's age should be 17 years as of December 31st of the admission year.

Because the college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS), admissions are processed through Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) counseling.

Students who wish to apply for merit seats in the government (Karnataka domicile holder), private, NRI, or other quota seats are allotted through KEA counseling. To enroll in the MBBS, MD, or MS programs at their selected universities, students must first complete the counseling procedures.

Students seeking All India 15% Quota seats can apply for Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) counseling and follow MCC processes to enroll in MBBS programs at their preferred universities.

MBBS:-

A student must pass the NEET UG test and enroll in KEA once applications are open. A student must complete the entire KEA counseling process in order to obtain seats in the desired quota based on their NEET UG ranking (if qualified).

KEA Counseling Process: 1st Round Counseling, 2nd Round Counseling, Mop Up Round (1 or 2 depending on the vacant seats); this process includes:

• Online registration
• Document verification
• Choice entry
• Mock allocation
• Actual allocation.

Documents Required for the Document Verification Process:

Admission is accessible to all UG NEET-qualified applicants, excluding NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, and foreign nationals. The original papers to be produced are:

• A final printout of the online registration form.
• The original copy of the Challan for paying the fees.
• UG NEET Admission Ticket and Score Card
• Valid Identity Card (Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, PAN/Aadhar Card)
• SSLC/10th Standard Marks Card
• 2nd PUC/12th Standard Marks Card
• 2nd PUC/12th Standard Study Certificate issued by concerned college with principal's seal and signature
• Two recent passport-sized photographs.
• If the individual is applying for minority status, the necessary documentation should be provided.
